On November 30, 1998, sixty three people died and two hundred were injured in a fire at a discotheque in Gothenburg. Most of them teenagers. Milorad Stankic survived but paid a high prize. He was severely burned and lost half of his right leg and many of his friends didn’t make it. Among them his childhood friend, Zoran. Milorad almost died three times, once during the fire, and twice during his hospital care. Before the disaster he weighed 63 kilo and when he came out of the respirator three months afterwards he was down to 43. This is the visual story of his struggle to come back to life – from intense hospital care and painful rehabilitation – until one year later, when he once again faced the building where his life changed forever.
